Initial Consultations
For the initial consultation, the fee is $325 + HST and the consultation is generally one hour in length. At this time Frenkel Tobin is not accepting Legal Aid certificates.
The initial consultation may be in person, virtual or by phone, depending on the client’s preference.
During the consultation, the consulting lawyer generally obtains the facts of the client’s case, the relevant history and answers any questions that the client may have.
The consulting lawyer also typically provides the client with legal information and/or advice for their matter. The client can then take that information to determine whether to retain the consulting lawyer or not. Until the client retains the consulting lawyer, a solicitor-client relationship is not established and no further fees are required.
The information obtained at the consultation is confidential and is not shared with others without specific instructions from the client.
